Happy Birthday Mom!

I wish I had a great old photo of us both (this one looks nothing like us), but I don't have any in my computer.  Remember when I was little and people were always asking us if we were sisters?  I hope I always look like you, remain as crafty as you, and have as kind of a heart as you.    I hope you had a fantastic day Mom.  You are so wonderful.  I love you!

a brownie bunny birthday

Daisy's birthday is on August 7th.  She tells me she wants a brownies and bunnies swimming party.   I'm brainstorming ideas for it.  She told me her current favorite color is pink.  Her second favorite color is purple.  I don't really like pink and purple together, so I said, "what other colors do you like?".  She said turquoise and green.  Then she said her favorite color was orange.  Maybe we could do all the colors with dark brown.  That would be cute.  I saw these crepe paper medallions here, and thought it would be fun to do something with them.

turning 9

" o how fine to be turning nine "

I can't believe I have a 9 year old!  In less than 10 years she'll be an adult.  Leaving me to start a life on her own.  sniff.  Until then...

 She had a small and sweet celebration with the family at Shakespeares Pizza.  Budget & behavior wouldn't allow the big backyard circus themed BBQ that was originally planned.  Tweenage drama at it's finest.  Better luck next year?  Or perhaps an end of school BBQ?  We shall see.  Keep your fingers crossed.......we're trying.
