Why does this have to be so dificult?!

This is so frustrating!  I have spent so much time trying to research online on how to add my "grab my button" to my sidebar....and I still can't get it to work.  It seems like I can get the html code box to show up, but not the button image.  :(   Does any kind soul out there in blogland know how to add your blog button?  Please help me.

Ok. It's all squared away. I think. I was "grabbing the link" from my flickr image, and I should have been "grabbing the html" instead. It should be working now. I tested it on my own blog and it works! :D

Hey Nicole...Thanks for letting me know about the letters next to my image...when I go into my code I don't see those exact letters....Did you delete those exact letters? UUGGG...blog buttons are a pain...lol

Thank you Amy!!! My code had those funny characters after my image too (maybe from a not so careful copy/paste job....not looking at the existing code right?) anyway, how I got rid of it was this: I copied the text box html from my button (like I would to put someone else's button on my blog). Then I added a new gadget in my layout (to test and see if my button worked). I put my html in the new gadget box and it showed up (with the funky characters). I studied the html that I put into that new gadget. That's where I found it and deleted it. I went down to the "grab my button" gadget on my blog and it's the second section of blog...I found those funky extra characters and deleted them. It worked for me. Good Luck!!! Oh, and once I tested my code with the extra gadget and it worked, I deleted the test gadget button image of course. ;)

Hey Nicole....I saw the Home Ec. class...I thought about taking it but I am involved in so many things right now...I know I wouldn't have time to do it....I also have like 50 penpals..I signed up for Happy Mail (for 6 months)..I am behind on journal pages.....I have 2 or 3 other classes to catch up on...and I have to finish journals for my swap...lol.....I over-schedule myself and commit myself to too many things...but I love being involved in things and meeting new people....Are you taking the Home Ec. class.....
